Mechanical Engineer Troy Smalley, P.E. Receives Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) Designation and Brings Competitive Advantage to Firm
HOUSTON, June 21, 2018 – Rimkus Building Consultants today announced that Troy Smalley, P.E., a mechanical engineer with more than 20 years industry experience, received the Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) designation from the Building Commissioning Certification Board (BCCB).

The CCP designation expands Rimkus Building Consultants’ service offering to building commissioning for new and existing projects, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security and building envelopes. CCP is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and is recognized under the Better Buildings Workforce Guidelines Program, allowing companies to deliver commissioning services to federally funded projects.
Additionally, Smalley’s experience includes the design of heating, ventilation and air condition (HVAC) systems; plumbing systems; fire protection systems and building commissioning. He has designed engineered systems for universities, high schools, houses of worship, hospitals, clinics, research laboratories and condominiums. As a commissioning authority, Smalley implemented commissioning best practices and essential attributes as prescribed by the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA) and ASHRAE Guideline 0.
