Mr. Cox holds a B.A. degree in Architecture and is a Registered Architect in Kansas. He has more than 18 years of experience in the development of large commercial retail projects. His experience includes all aspects of the building development process from site selection to project close-out.
His recent experience has a focus on grocery store design, surveying potential sites and buildings, developing store layouts, envelope calculations, preparing construction documents, coordinating specifications, permitting, construction administration/observations, and owner/tenant coordination. He has experience with multiple national clients and developers in the commercial retail field.
Mr. Cox’s experience also includes the design of CMU, precast concrete, steel structures, and wood buildings. He has surveyed sites and buildings for clients to provide feedback and produce existing conditions documents for potential site adapt, or tenant-improvement locations. Mr. Cox has been involved with projects ranging from $50,000 to $50 million. He has experience with projects in multiple jurisdictions, and has recently developed projects in Arizona, Nevada, California, and Washington.
Mr. Cox has assisted in the development of site layouts for 100+-acre sites, preparing packages for developer and city review. He has performed site studies and building presentation packages for owners and Jurisdictions. Mr. Cox also has experience with permitting projects that require Health Department review and that deal with environmental concerns, e.g., tire and lube stations.
